Overview

TM Process & Controls, Inc. (TMPC) provided a turnkey Clean-in-Place (CIP) system designed to serve a beverage production facility’s syrup, high-fructose corn syrup (HFCS), and RO water tanks. The solution featured a dual-circuit, three-tank CIP skid with programmable 5-step CIP and rinse cycles, real-time reporting, and full integration with the client’s existing SCADA system.

Problem

The facility needed to improve its CIP capabilities to increase cleaning throughput and reduce manual intervention, while integrating the new system into their existing process infrastructure.

Solution

TMPC engineered a fully automated three-tank, two-circuit CIP skid capable of simultaneous circuit cleaning. The system included chemical recovery, integrated SCADA reporting, VFD-controlled pumps, advanced instrumentation, and a CompactLogix-based control panel. Programming supported modular CIP sequencing and automated reporting for improved traceability and operational visibility.

Results

  • Increased cleaning throughput with dual-circuit simultaneous operation
  • Reduced chemical waste via recovery functionality
  • Enhanced operator visibility with SCADA integration and automated CIP reporting
  • Simplified maintenance through well-documented programming and modular logic
  • Fully compliant, validated cleaning process aligned with food and beverage industry standards
