CASE STUDY
Design and fabrication of two chilled filtration skids and one filtration skid; Class I Div 1-rated electrical control panel design and integration; Instrumentation, sanitary process equipment, and automation; Engineering deliverables including 2D/3D drawings, P&IDs, and manuals
TM Process & Controls, Inc. (TMPC) played a key role in the development of a new beverage manufacturing facility in Montgomery, Alabama. The company delivered three advanced filtration skids—two chilled filtration units and one depth filtration unit—constructed from sanitary-grade stainless steel and equipped with explosion-proof motors, automated sanitary valves, and pre-wired instrumentation. Designed to mirror systems used in other facilities, the skids ensured operational consistency and fast integration. Class I Div 1 electrical compliance and a proposal for a consolidated control panel further enhanced the skids’ value and adaptability.
The customer required filtration skids that not only aligned with an existing facility design but also complied with stringent hazardous area ratings and sanitary process requirements. The project demanded timely delivery and the ability to support a high-efficiency production line near key southern distribution channels.
TMPC engineered and fabricated two chilled filtration skids and one filtration skid with regenerative heat exchangers, Pall SUPRApak depth filter housings, explosion-rated motors, and NEMA 4X-rated CompactLogix-based control panels. The team also proposed a consolidated electrical panel to streamline future process integration. Complete engineering documentation, 3D models, and panel schematics were delivered to support installation and maintenance.
